BOB McKISSON

Robert McKisson is a career information systems technology sales, marketing and business development professional, turned successful serial entrepreneur, investor, and new enterprise developer.

In 1981 Bob founded his first company, Chesapeake LightSciences, a developer of fiber-optic communication systems for the Defense Department. Since then, he has founded, co-founded or organized a string of successful companies, among them Randtec, Raptor Systems, Cypress Systems, and Authentica, where he was both co-founder and President.

Mr. McKisson is an active board member and management advisor to several Mid-Atlantic companies, and an advisor to George Mason University's Mason Enterprise Center. He is the senior partner in a Northern Virginia investment fund, and the Founder and Managing Director of Tidewater Venture Mentors, a venture investment and business launch environment in Southeastern Virginia.
